Check this page regularly for any new and events including results from our days out and all the goings on at Ayres & Graces.

27.10.2011 - It is with a heavy heart and watery eyes that we inform everyone of the passing of our wonderful mare Palace Rhapsody. It was discovered yesterday that Pam had contracted bone cancer and she was laid to rest this morning. While we never managed to get a foal out of her from Edward she taught me so much about breeding and horses in general. She was a well loved member of our family and will be missed. Many thanks to those who loved and cared for her in her final weeks and a big thankyou to Dr Dennis Freeman from Willow Park Vet Clinic for all of his help, advice and support. RIP Pammy. xoxox

16.10.2011 - HE'S HERE!!!!! Finally our first foal on the ground from our stallion Kamilaroi Gendarme. Ayres & Graces Klassique, aka Bobby, came into the world in the early daylight hours of this morning. Check out our 'Foals' page for more info. Congrats to KD Charleston (mum) and Ed!! Soooooo happy!

Congratulations to Kelsea Williams who has purchased Celtic Princess - 3/4 TB 1/4 Percheron mare. We wish them all the very best in their future together.

Sooooooo excited that we have two confirmed pregnancies - KD Charleston (Holst/Morgan) and Coconut Beach (TB) are both in foal to Kamilaroi Gendarme and we are expecting our first bubs on the ground soon.

September 3rd - Jo and Fred (Wondaree Duty Free) attended the FOW event and Fred did a lovely Dressage test followed by an amazing SJ round. Definately knew what he was doing in the SJ Arena and Jo was simply along for the ride. XC was a little more daunting but very pleased with his first time out. Huge thanks to Stefanie Tscheppe, our Red Light Therapist, for all the amazing work she has done with Fred. Anyone interested in Red Light Therapies for their horses please contact me through the contact us page for Stef's details.

June 21st - Not sure if all are aware of a horrible accident that occured in Pakenham over the weekend involving a car, float and two horses. Horses are okay although its a long road to recovery, owner is a little shell shocked and her husband, who suffered a seizure at the wheel (never happened before) is on the road to recovery as well. I would like to take this oppportunity to promote a company, Prestige Horse Transport, (check our links page) and the wonderful Rachel, who showed her true and amazing colours while helping out the family in this horrible situation. While Im happy to direct you to her website, simply speaking to her or reading through the site will be enough to assure you that not only is she a wonderful person but also extremely passionate, educated about and good at her job. We highly recommend this company for any of your horse transport needs. Best wishes to Karen, her hubby and her horses.

June 17 - Slick is our newest addition - 10 yo, 16h Dark Bay TB Gelding, purchased by Sara and Jo - Slick will be put into work before seeing him out and about eventing with Jo.

June 2011 - Fred arrived today - 50% Percheron/TB cross Gelding. Doing a little work before campaigning him on the event circuit this year. Fingers crossed.

May 15th - Jai & Comet Lad out for Dalmore PC - at the Monbulk PC Show & Jumping Day - 6th in Handler and Best suited for PC, 4th in pair rider with Danni James & 2nd in most suited for ODE (thats my girl!!) - 8th in SJ top score and 11th in SJ Equitation. Jai did really well to stay on her TB Comet who decided that most of the work outs in the show ring should have had a couple of pigroots and at least one buck involved and that the SJ would be much more exciting with a near verticle rear!! A little more work and a little less feed for the boy perhaps. Very proud of Jai who refused to give in and helped her team to 3rd place overall. Well done girls.

May 11th - Ayres & Graces welcomes its first baby!!!!!! Ayres & Graces Odin (Luke) was born in the early hours of this morning, a striking bay colt with a star, stripe and a snip, out of "Sandy" an Arab mare by a Friesian/Riding Pony X colt who jumped the fence!! Already sold this little man is absolutely gorgeous and as cheeky as you can get. Congrats to Jai who owns Sandy and to Sue who has purchased Luke.

May 2nd - Picked up a new mare 'Celtic Princess' who belongs to Sam Schultz. We will be campaigning this mare on Sams behalf in order to sell her on. Check  out the for sale page soon for pix and a price.

Kelly Walker out with Bioscan - brilliant lady, fantastic service and horses are going so much better since she has been out here. Highly recommend this service. Check our links page.

April 27th Yeringberg (Intro) - Jo & Danny - Pretty good dressage and 2 stops SJ, still a little funny with his jumping(??), threw a shoe overnight so withdrew from XC.

April 2nd Wandin (Intro) - Jo & Danny - not bad dressage but for unfortunately eliminated for the first time ever in the SJ. Better luck next time.

Mar 12th/13th Tonimbuk (Intro) - Jo & Danny - best dressage test yet (indoor arena may have helped!), 1 stop in the SJ and then in yet another thunderstorm, we managed 1 stop at 3B but otherwise a clear XC round, time faults but happy with the way we went. To top it off we were lucky enough to win the Malcolm Byrne $700 bridle in the raffle. Thanks to Matt!!

Feb 20th - Matt & Jo finally tied the knot and got married!!

Feb 27th - Werribee Clydesdale & Heavy Horse Festival - Kamilaroi Gendarme named Champion Percheron Stallion for the second year in a row. Woohoo Edward!

December 5th - Jo & Danny were out this weekend at Ayr Hill for the Peninsula SJ Day and managed to go clear around their 75cm class. YAY!! Dannys first double clear SJ round at this level.

November 27th/28th Jo & Big Fat Money (Danny) were out at the Wandin HT (Intro) - despite a boggy and humid start to the day we ended with an average dressage round, followed by a 1 penalty sj round and finally after a huge thunderstorm hit a 2 stop cross country run. Very happy with how Danny has progressed this year. Onwards and upwards!!

November 6th/7th Jo & Big Fat Money (Danny) were out at the Pakenham HT and managed an okay dressage test followed by an acceptable SJ round. Unfortunately Danny kicked himself overnight in the yards and managed to go lame - NOTE- ALWAYS bandage your horse while yarded away - hoping for a better outcome at Wandin on the 27th/28th.

Congratulations to Kamilaroi Gendarme who took out the Champion Percheron Stallion at the Heavy Horse Festival and a huge congrats to Matt for bringing home the tri colour sash on his first time running a horse out anywhere!!

Congratulations to Kamilaroi Gendarme who won his presentation class at the Royal Melbourne Horse Show and got 2nd in his breed class.

On the 18th of January 2010 Matt and Jo welcomed the newest member of their family into the world. A huge welcome to Aleesha Evelyn Jean  Ayres. Another rider in the family to join Jaimie and Billy. Very proud parents and brother and sister.

Woohoo!! Edward, Kamilaroi Gendarme, has served is first mare!! Edward was run naturally with Palace Rhapsody a TB mare and we are hoping that she is in foal. He has proven what a gentleman he really is and was extremely loving and gentle with her. He is currently running with our Holsteiner/Morgan mare KD Charleston.

Kamilaroi Gendarme has passed his Stallion Soundness Check and will be ready to stand at public stud for the 2010 season. Anyone interested please get in touch via the contact us page. Keep an eye out for us at the 2010 Summer Royal at Werribee Park

04.05.09 - Congrats to Jo and Danny who finished 8th at Dannys first G4 ODE at Main Ridge on the weekend. Dbl Clear SJ round and a clear XC Round with Time. Yay to Danny.

23.04.09 - Sorry for the delay in reports but here we go - Edward was out and about at the Werribee Clydesdale & Heavy Horse Festival at the end of Feb this year. At his first official breed show, we were out of the Summer Royal with a nasty bout of uveitis, he managed to take home the Reserve Champion Percheron Colt after winning his yearling class. Well done Edward and a huge thanks to all that photographed and commented on how quiet the boy was during the show. Thanks also to the organisers of the day. Check out our links to another website 'all things clydesdale'.

A huge thankyou to Cheryl Bunting for hosting the clinic 'My way becomes our way' in Feb. A huge success with both days booked out and several happy agistees and students using the techniques taught to further develop their partnerships with thier horses. She even had Danny and I jumping over 85cm!! CALMLY!! Woohoo. Highly recommended.

Congratulations to Jaimie, Hailey and Megan for coming in 5th place at the Mornington Peninsula Grand Prix Games Day on April 5th and good luck to them for the state qualifiers this weekend.

Congratulations to Jaimie for earning her D Star certificate at Pony Club and being moved up to Grade 4 with Sally. Jaimie will be competing at Mini Tooradin at the end of May. Good luck.

10.01.09 - Well, Edward has been out for his first show and while he stood calmly throughout the day watching all the goings on of the Bass Coast Summer Show and drew much positive comment and many questions from onlookers and fellow competitors he decided that being in the ring was just soooooo exciting!!! and we hopped, skipped and jumped our way around the ring - much to the concern of all the very pretty and petite yearlings that were in his Registered Led Yearling class. (It was somewhat like taking a bulldog to a greyhound race) Needless to say, we did not get called in but a big thanks to the organisers of the show as we had a great time and Edward has proven that he indeed does have the temperament we are hoping to duplicate in his offspring. We will be out again for more experience this weekend at Lang Lang and then off to his first real test in the Percheron breed class at this years Summer Royal at Werribee on the Australia Day Weekend. Keep checking back as pics will be posted soon.
